HISTOMORPHOLOGY OF PANCREATIC TISSUE IN MEDAKA FISH (Oryzias javanicus): STUDY OF DIABETIC ANIMAL MODEL DEVELOPMENT

This study aimed to explore the histomorphology of pancreatic tissue medaka fish develop as a diabetic animal model. Adult were obtained with body length 2.53±0.22 cm and weight 265.8±25 g. Medaka fixed using Boiun's fixative solution. Macro anatomical observations pancreas conducted stereomicroscope. Histological preparations made according Hematoxylin-eosin staining standard procedure. Pancreatic was carried out light microscope 100x 400x magnification. The macro anatomy showed interconnection several tissues, such spleen, gallbladder, liver, fat, intestines. located toward oversees intestines, covered fat. histomorphological exocrine cells composed serous pyramidal acinar endocrine (islets Langerhans). Intralobular intercalated ducts (ducts Boll) simple cuboidal epithelium. concluded that organ in is single organ, histomorphologically has both cells.
